hi all, I´m in need of a new amp ! I´ve tried almost everything from Marshall to Orange, but the only time I was truly happy was when I owned a ´67 Vox AC30. Unfortunately it became unstabile and broke down a couple of times.....on gigs ! So I had to sell it. Since then I´ve been looking for another amp that can give me the same sound, and it seems that the Mantaray could be the way to go. I´ve had a Route 66 and loved it, but became a little tired of the very present middle. What du you guys think ? All the best !

Hey Fanzen, how's our Tasmanian Princess going? Are we like "related" now?
I think that since you are obviously a vox man the answer would be a reZounding "yes"! The stangray was modelled on the pre-boost Vox AC30's so it should be right up your alley!
By the way, its now a Stangray! (The amp formerly known as Stingray/Mantaray)
Cheers.

Indeed, the Stang seems like it would be a good fit for you.

Bear in mind the Stangray is based on a non-top boost circuit. I think anyone that doesn't need a master volume would like one from all that I've read.
