That's a tough one......so many different types of fuzz!! IE, FF circuit (s), Muff circuit(s), some border more on distortion/fuzz, Some more "usable" than others. With all the boutique stuff out there I'm digging the humble mass produced Dunlop Hendrix "Band of Gypsys" with the white knobs. But it's so so subjective, my rig, your rig, etc etc. Sorry not much help at all!

Thanks for responding Brother Z's and I appreciate your time and effort in doing so.
Any suggested pedal or subjective clarity is always helpful.
Personally, I've always been against using pedals.
Straight wire with gain - and a tone control - to my grave!
However, Doc has changed that way of thinking for me with his Z-Drive and Ghia combination.

Can you suggest a fuzz sound in a song for us to try to narrow our Fuzz abundance down?

Honestly, just some good old Satisfaction would do.
Not really searching for any specific fuzz sound just a good starting point since this is my first pedal foray.
I thought a fuzz would be a solid foundation with Doc's Z-Drive at the helm.

Thank You to everyone who responded by pm and email.
I appreciated all your suggestions and demo links plus the time you spent in sending them.
Took someone's advice and decided on a Wren and Cuff Tri Pie '70 as a good start.

"Spirit In The Sky" is an ear-opener... I thought that was a torn speaker? The guitarist in Greenbaum's band had a fuzz circuit built into his guitar...
