Oh my goodness. Hold on a sec there, Doc, let me go buy stock in some "hearing protection" products.
The world's gonna get a lot louder... and "tonier."

Z not sure how it is gonna be stronger and tonier!! Save your pennies guys! I can't say I'll be saving pennies since I have never even considered an 88. However, I have no idea what this amp can do but I'm really eager to hear a good demo, for sure. I'm sure Doc feels some of these designs were retired before their time (for valid reasons) and it's cool to see these things get a second lease on life !

The Delta 88 is an amazing amp! You can set the volume low and still get great tone. Or you can run it wide open for some real fun!

Will the newest one be solidstate rectified like the original or be tube rectified? And since it shares the same DNA as the Z 28 what will the 333 setting sound like? Just wondering?

333 is LOUD and great brake up , thick full, and like Tyler from GFL said, " there's nothing not to like about that".

I remember my Zfest Doc, you came up to me in the VFW hall and asked me what I liked and I told you the Delta 88 (someone had brought one) and you said "figures yiu'd like the I don't make anymore" lol. I went on to say the Z28 was mu 2nd favorite.
I might need to get one for Patty to play her bass through!

I had a band come into the shop Friday to do a picture shoot. Their bass player got is bass out of his car and plugged into the Delta, he was knock out by the sound. Now, I had it plugged into a standard Z Best, I believe it would sound better if was loaded with bass speakers. I'm looking into neo 12 " bass speakers to load into the Z Best, should sound great and cut the weight of the cab in half.
Bring Patty next time your in town and let her check out the Delta.

My roadie from the Earle tours, Brian Willis, loved the Z's as soon as I started using them (2001/2002?). He bought one for himself and has been turning pros onto them ever since. Last few years he's been tech-ing bands on the bro-country scene. I think they were at the shop picking this up for the steel guy in Fl/Ga Line. Brian's younger brother Brent also worked for me and bought Z's of his own. He's out there spreading the word too. When you are on the road equipment problems can turn into big problems. Dr Z? No problem !
