For those of you who have been playing your Stingrays for the past month or so, have you noticed how well this amp is breaking in? I got mine on Valentine's Day (no joke), and believe me my wife is tired of me talking about it, but with the speakers starting to break in... forget about it! Best amp I have ever played, period. Thanks again Doc for creating this magical amp!

Hi Brando, I have never been as impressed with an amp as I have been with the Stingray. I don't know if it's breaking in great or it's me it's breaking down! ;D

Hi Curt, you tease. I know what that wink is about. ;D Yeah my combo has the celestion blues wired to 16 ohms and they are awesome. My second stingray will have the blues as well. I hope the doc ships my Maz38 with the weber alnico bluedog/silver bell combo though I can't wait.

My "Blues" came wired in parallel (at 4 ohms). I haven't tried them in series yet... the amp sounds pretty good as it is.

I put my own broken-in Blues in my Z open back 2X12 cabinet when I got it, so mine rocked from the get-go. Mine are two 16 ohmers wired in parallel. I take full credit for being the first guy to tell you all how great the 'Ray is! That is, if you don't count Hdahs143 trying that one out at Alpha, which I think ended up in Arun's hands. I still get goosebumps every time I plug in to her. I've played her enough that I'm wondering when I should change power tubes! PDW

Are you both useing Celestion Blue's? Arun, ya know...just in case I MAY need to know in the future Yep. They're blues. When I was play testing the 'Ray over at Docs, he plugged me into the greenbacks first, but THEN he didn't waste any time switching me over to the blues cab. He baited me for sure. It was like, 'how long is the waiting list?" Curt, you're the luckiest man in the world. Everyone should get a used MAZ Senior by mistake. ;D
