Dad gum it y'all, I just can't get any luck with this Therapy....I had a bad speaker that kept me from using it for quite awhile until I could get another and now the speaker arrives and this happens WATCH THE VOLUME MIGHT BE LOUD Any guesses? Different tubes didn't change anything.....looks like I better get my shipping box out... I've kinda thought it had something going on with it ...but I can be neurotic so who knows but that is obviously not right. Mean while the Monza was sounding good tonight. I've sent the same video to Dr Z repairs tonight as well. Won't be long and the mystery will be solved I reckon. *****UPDATE BELOW****** Looks like this broke ...the big back thing on the right. The lead into it is broken it's a sweet sounding tube Ring Mod though and doesn't fit on the pedal board

I had some issues my Remedy that made a similar noise. The problem I had was intermittent and turned out to be a bad solder joint. Doc got it fixed and no more problems. Yours could be something similar, or maybe just a bad tube. If you have any spare tubes try swapping them out one at a time.

I'd double check my output tubes. I've heard that sound coming from an amp with a red-plating output tube.

Just to check the obvious. Are you sure the outlet you are in is grounded?

Just to check the obvious. Are you sure the outlet you are in is grounded? Well other amps don't have that loud buzz or ring mod tone with them...

That's an electrolytic capacitor, Bro! I can't tell which one from the pic, but prolly a filter cap. Don't touch it unless you've drained the cap. It'll bite cha good if it's charged! If it's drained you might get away with a drop of solder on it, but it surely looks close to the body of the cap. It's an EASY fix (replace the cap) for any decent amp tech.....

Wow, that is a broken lead on your first main filter cap, that will cause the buzz you hear. Let it be known that is a very expensive German made F&T Axial cap, and I personally QA'd that amp.
I teach my guys to bend the leads from components a 1/4" from the body of the part as not to stress that connection. Hard to understand how a secure glued cap with proper installation broke. I will be glad to send you a new cap, pretty easy to replace , or just send the amp in and I'll warrantee a complete repair and check out of your amp. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Z Well, it was flopping around inside like the glue came loose...or wasn't glued BUT since you QA'd it I'd figure it was glued. I didn't move anything because I didn't want to die from touching the wrong stuff so I couldn't tell if the glue was on the chassis side or cap side but one side isn't sticking and maybe that caused it it jiggle, normally a good thing jiggling but in this case not. MAYBE? I've got my RA# from Don and I think sending it in to y'all would give me peace of mind as i know of no great amp men in the PDX area. P.S. Dr Z, did you know that Portland no longer has a Z dealer now that Apple Music closed...

I may just have to take Portland off my retirement list unless this gets corrected.
