Well, I'll try to make it short and direct that is.
I like everything I've heard/seen/read about the Therapy but it needs to meet one particular criteria for me.
Will it do high or fairly high headroom, loud, rich cleans that will hang with a drummer - and the other part of that question is, when run clean in this manner, what's your opinion of it as a pedal platform?
I know it's not a Fender Twin and that's not what I'm looking for. I like warm, full bodied sparkly cleans and not sterile plinky stuff. But I do need it to hold together for funk style playing when I dig in hard and also remain sparkly for ballads, etc. without too much fur on the notes (the slightest hint is okay).
So will I be good?
I honestly think I've read through every thread here and on another forum. I've seen a few references to its ability to produce big cleans (I think my favorite came from Doc who likened it to a "big fat Martin" - I loved that!...and I suppose I should just trust the guy who built it). Given Doc's statement and a few others I've read it looks like it'll do the trick, but I'm curious to hear from those of you who have been in the trenches and using it like I plan to. It looks like I might be doing some more gigs with the cover band and this is what I need an amp to do.
What I love about the idea of the Therapy is that I can (hopefully) use it like this, but for other gigs and other situations I can forget the pedals and ride the GV and amp without needing to fuss with attenuators, etc. I absolutely love tweed cleans, but I also love the way tweeds break up in that in-between state. From everything I've seen, the Therapy has all of that in there.

I think it excels at slightly dirty-like in the Paisly demo a few months back. But it will do a nice clean-with 2 12 's it should hang with a drummer.Sorry I'm not more descriptive,But GP65 is right-the speakers are key which way it will go.A while back someone said it was the perfect amp for southern rock, and I agree-if you listen to Skynrd cleans with a strat,it reminds me of the Therapy.

Good stuff guys - thanks.
Walt - I hadn't seen that Paisley clip. Didn't know it existed. He sounds amazing through the Therapy (big surprise) and I agree that 1:16 sounds amazing.
I made the mistake of once again watching his Z Wreck demo too. Man, what I'd give for one of those amps. Unfortunately my budget won't allow me to "give" what it would take to get one.

Get it set with the volume about 11 o'clock and the master about 3, T/M/B set to taste, guitar volume less than dimed, guitar tone to taste; note that the mid control can be quite powerful in tone shaping. This is a starting place for "big clean" with the amp's volume control defining clean.
I've found my Therapy to be particularly effective with bucker-equipped instruments (in my case, Gibson CS336 and Guild Bluesbird), and it is also very good with hollow body arch tops (Heritage Golden Eagle and Godin 5th Avenue Kingpin). Single coils sound good, too, but I prefer them through my Rati v2.

This may not be exactly what you're looking for but I'm playing a Therapy in this video. All clean, very slight breakup/hair on the notes type of tone. And I use pedals extensively - no issues at all. The Therapy cleans are real nice. They have a harmonic complexity that I don't hear from many Fenders at all.
I'm playing the blue Crook tele. I play some lead on the first and last song.

I don't know a lot of that music but I'd really enjoy hearing your band. That's actually a good example, so thanks. It sounds like you've got plenty of oomph and clarity, and it's a nice round clean tone without being too sterile. Good stuff!

YES.......and again I say, YES!! (assuming you're using regular pups of course, and not some souped up EMG active stuff? )

The secret sauce to this sits in two places: the V and the Mid. Keep the V below noon, and the Mid below 3 and you're good to go!

Your replies are appreciated gents. Great info!
I've got some thinking and jockeying to do. The Therapy sounds like it could make me very happy. I'm also sniffing around another amp, but the nice thing is I'm not in a hurry - and I have this really crappy Z28 to play through in the meantime (that's a joke, son).
