When the Therapy came out I wanted one. Just what I was looking for. Other priorities got in the way though, and then my band switched to all acoustic and I started doing trio/duo work. My Z28 (which I love for what it is and does) has sat more or less idle for a few months now. My electric playing fell by the wayside as well (approx. 1000 gigs with the same band necessitated a break!) and I just enjoyed my acoustic playing and acoustic gigs. I think it's time to revitalize my electric playing. My buddy approached me last week with the prospect of a fusiony/funk/jazz project (think Oz Noy.....well, without Oz Noy's chops ) but it's something that I'd love to do for the pure fun of the music, with a gig here and there if we can find one. Anyway, I digress. As cool as the Z28 is, I think the Therapy might be a better fit for me now. I love the idea of an amp that has those thick, woody, muscular high headroom cleans, but can also get a little nasty. And the PPIV master is just the ticket for when I want to get crazy in the home bedroom studio. My Z28's up for trade in the emporium. This might take a while, but I've got the time. And it feels good to feel the flame burning again.

Ohhhhhh, this is SUCH a difficult post for me to read......... I LOVE my Therapy.......and I LOVE my Z28............. and they are all the amps I will ever need.......... but to have to sacrifice one for the other, is a choice I have not yet had to make, so I know how tough that must be!! In the VERY finely tuned balance though, it's got to be the Therapy!!

Yes, a tough choice, no question about it.
