I just got a mini-Z and the guy that sent it took the tubes out without labelling which went where. Looking at the back of the amp does the 12AX7 go on the left side or right side tube socket?

Just to be clear, I assumed it's a newer Mini with the Ghia-sized chassis. If it's an original 1x8 Mini, I have no idea.

Yeah, I would think the 12AX7 would be closest to the input........but I could be wrong.

If it's a head, that is... combo, the other way round. But yea, closest to input is your best bet!
... I didn't even know you could mix up ecc83 and el84 sockets?
