I own #12 and it is more than 42lbs like everyone says. It weighs close to 46lbs on my luggage scale. Still very manageable but not the 42lbs as listed. Any one else actually weight theirs?

No, each piece of wood is different even in two pieces of the same Italian Birch can be , my guess.

You're spot on. Mine weighs 45.65 pounds on my digital shipping scale, without the power cord or footswitches.

Mine (#007) weighed just under 45 lbs. on a digital bathroom scale, including both footswitches and the Studio Slips clamshell cover.

I realize just under 3 lbs. difference will through some into a tizzy I did add the fan, the new Z 12" speaker, and enforced the cab top, caused the increase over the 42 lbs proto type.
I will change value on the site. This is what happens when you try to have a web page, manual, and demo completed prior to amps release.
Can I pull my pants up now......

For me, anything within 10 lbs of my Ghia 1x10 combo is close enough for rock 'n' roll.

I still cannot get over how light the Z-lux is!! The wood is way thinner than on my Monza, which now feels like a safe. Tapping the Z-lux with my knuckle sounds more like tapping an acoustic guitar rather than an amp, it sounds so resonant!

I have a bad back and the addition of the fan and extra bracing, is welcome....I'll just go with the 45 and still light. No Tizzy here.

It's really light weight... I was shocked how light it was when I picked up shannon's...
and after having an EZG 50 head that probably weighed almost as much as THIS combo does... and knowing the JAZ head was probably on par with the EZG head...
I was shocked.
and it actually "feel's" (it may not be, but just what it felt like to me) LIGHTER than Shannon's 1x10 Z-28 combo with a brake light installed!!!
It feels and probably actually is no heavier than My Maz JR 1x12 Studio Combo!!
Amazing really that an amp THAT powerful (Iron), with that much sound / tone and with all those features is packed into such a compact and user friendly light weight package!!

I agree with the "feel" thing. I'm not sure exactly what makes it that way but I suspect balance has a lot to do with it. I have an old "American" 2x10 combo that actually weighs almost exactly the same as my Z-Lux, but when I lift it the majority of the weight seems to be on one end- and it's no pleasure to carry very far. Maybe it's tranny placement, I don't know, but the Z-Lux feels 15 pounds lighter than this particular amp.

I think the Z28 1x10 combo is so compact and all the weight is right there under the handle, cause it's not that big at all... so it "feels" as heavy or heavier than the Z lux to me... but it's also pretty easy to carry and light as well. Great little combo and package on it's own. too... My favorite for Shannon to use when we play until he got the Z lux (and now I can use the Z 28 when he ain't looking) but it seems the weight of the Z lux is kinda more spread out and evenly distributed so that it is comfortable to pick up and carry... not awkward at all.

Unfortunately, I don't own a Z28. I've just been baby sitting one Lonny left here for a couple of years. And luckily, he keeps forgetting to load it up when he visits. But spot on, I don't know what it weighs specifically, but it's way lighter than you think. I've played several gigs with it and after watching me snatch it up with such ease, not one person has tried to pick a fight with me.
