Looks really nice. I was just considering re-acquiring a Carr Rambler when I stumbled on the Z-lux. Being a Dr. Z fan (have/have had Maz 18, Maz 8, RxJr, Stangray, Remedy) I'm thinking this may be a no-brainer grab-and-go amp for the small stages and churches I play. Would love to hear the first user review!

I'm not a Z lux user by any means, I just have to say that I took the plunge from a Carr Rambler (half stack) to the Dr. z stuff and I couldn't be happier. The Carr seemed like it had less mojo. I'm assuming this is true in all models!
Just my fleeting opinion.

Cool man! I tried a few models and ended up with a MAZ senior with reverb. Didn't really want verb but the deal was stinking good for a current model MAZ. Send a link to a video if you ever post one!

I spent a few years with Ramblers (one on either side of a vintage '66 BFDR) as well as a Carr Sportsman. I now have a JAZ 20/40 and find tones I've liked from each of her predecessors.
If I were playing a Rambler side by side with my JAZ, I would expect to find more control over the character of the mids and quite a bit more composure in the lower freqs when pushed into breakup.
I preferred Teles with both the Carrs but the JAZ loves my 335 too (I would guess due to the EQ control I mention above).
The EQ bypass of the Z-Lux is something I would LOVE in my JAZ. I had a Maz 8 for a bit and close to a year on the Antidote; I used that feature all the time.

I had a rambler at one time and have to say it was a great amp. Made me smile every time I played it. Really did like it but needed a bit more headroom and ended up trading it for a maz 38. Now the maz is my go to amp. The Z-lux looks to be another great one from the doc.
