Hi all,
Was wondering if anyone has seen this DVD and could tell me if it's worth a purchase or not? I would really only be interested in the Maz 38 section and how to set the amp up to get the best out of it tone-wise.
Any thoughts?

I believe the DVD is out of production. A couple copies have kindly been circulated among the Z Talk crowd by the disc owners. If you hunt around in the Lounge you'll probably locate a related post.
My recollection is that Buddy Whittington talks about how he sets up his MAZ 38. He's also posted his settings from time to time, and pictures of BW's amp settings from gigs have also popped up. I believe a couple of the keys for his tone are (1) Volume dialed up a lot -- Buddy's a master of using guitar volume to adjust clean vs. dirt -- and (2) bass down, nearly off. His approach to the latter is "Turn the bass off. Whack the low strings and bring the bass up to the point where you just hear it have an effect on the sound. Done." I'm paraphrasing.
Hope this is helpful.

I think you're going to have much better luck getting the most out of your 38 by reading posts here on the Z-forum and by simply experimenting. The Z dvd is an excellent watch, especially if you're interested in how the Doc runs things at the shop and how each amp came about, but as far as setting up the amp and dialing in your settings, I don't recall it talking much about that. If you want to see the dvd you can submit your name on this thread and you'll surely get a turn to check out the dvd.

As far as purchasing the DVD, it's definitely a great buy for any Z enthusiast if you can get your hands on the dvd that is.
