Well I really intended to record the SRZ-65 tonight, but on a whim I plugged in to the Mazerati GT, dialed it back a bit from my usual settings and BINGO! There was what I was looking for to play slide with. So since the mics were already on that cab, I turned on the recorder and this is the result. Backing track stolen from The Gear Page as usual...
PRS (bridge humbucker) > Mazerati GT > Airbrake (Bedroom full) > 1x12 Convertible (closed back, V30) Volume at 9 o'clock Tone at noon Reverb and slight compression added in Pro Tools Bit-o-GTSlide.mp3

Hi Steve, nice sound and playing. I play my slide songs with a Tele that´s not so fat as yours with the PRS, but nice too. The GT is hard to beat.

I'm always impressed with your playing Steve. But, your tone is always amazing. Then I think your airbrake is at bedroom!
Got to get me some GT!

Wow, great sound and playing. I somehow has the feeling that this will be the perfect blues rock amp. Now, someone please make a clip of a Les Paul with buckers through this amp. It has to be a match made in heaven...

I'm pretty sure Bonamassa would love that amp. I wouldn't mind one myself either ;D

Great stuff Steve. But the GT is sounding a little...unpolerized Sounds like it needs to be played in the Southern Hemisphere to re-uhmmm-magnetize the....um...transformer. Send it to me immediately and I'll work it in till the polorization is equalized and then I'll send it straight uhmmm ...back. I promise. ;D

Nice tone and playing! Must be my net connection - keeps stopping after 20 seconds or so. Dang, what a beautiful 20 seconds...
Tas is way off, what the amp needs is to be sent to me immediately so I can finish the track for you after this 20 second teaser.
Oh, and I'll need the guitar and the slide, too. Thanks.
:-)

Thanks. I wasn't convinced at first that the GT would be a good slide platform. Just had to twist some knobs is all... Now I'm dying to get out and use it with my PRS for some live slide. Yeah baby!
