Actually, I was quite afraid something had to be fixed, cause I bought it from Humbucker Music... and I live in Paris, France. But everything is fine, it was just a tube. I've ordered some sets for both my Maz 8 and Therapy from Eurotubes (which I do recommend).
So now I'm back to the Therapy (1x12, V30) and god it sounds round and huge!
I love this sound, and even if my speaker is not fully broken yet, I don't hear any annoying high mid honk, but may be it's because I come from the Maz, which can be quite bright?
Anyway, this amp is really great, but these few weeks back to my Maz made me confirm I will never sell it. The Maz 8 is a fantastic amp also, and with the Brake Lite in it you really can play it in almost any situations. I have it loaded with a Scumback Scumnico and it sounds so good.
Talking about Brake Lite, I love it with the Maz (couldn't use this amp without the BL), but I feel it doesn't fit so well with the Therapy... Need to make a few more A/B tests between BL and master pot.
Cherry on the cake, I've bought a Y cable from Todd and now I can play my two amps with both speakers together, which is new to me and it is even bigger and richer...
Closed with an Eminence Wizard.Very mid 70's rock,in the room I play in it has a bigger than 1x12 feel to it.Hope that helps at least in a small way,I have no experience with the V30
It does, thanks. I've made some tests between Scumback Scumnico, G12H et V30, all in open back cabs until now (my 1x12 cabinet and my Maz8 Combo Studio). I may try some closed back configurations this week. So many options with one single amp!
Actually I really like both closed and open cab with my V30. Great speaker! I really don't like the G12H30 (came stock in my Maz 8, had been replaced by a Scumnico). The Therapy sounds also really great with the Scumnico, but may lack some bass when open. The Scumnico in the 1x12 closed could be nice I guess, but I'm lazy (and it works so well in the Maz combo) plus I really like the V30.
rossco: you don't have to fully bypass the tone stack which is great because gives you room to dial in your sound, it certainly thickens up the sound and adds nice growl/midrange growl. I don't like pedals so this replaces everything for me

easyed: It seems that the only time I clean off my workbench is when I need the space for something else. If I don't take a break, it's less than 5 minutes before that space is full again.

roscoenyc: Whenever I see the phrase "clean pedal platform" I'm filled with sadness about the real tube amp joy that could have been.
