Recently bought a Z Wreck (Head & Cab). Love it! I was wondering because the cab is pretty heavy to just haul around, has anyone ever bought a road case for their Wreck cab & head, or installed wheels on the bottom of the cab???

Casters and road cases with casters work great, on flat surfaces.. Rolling across a parking lot or up/down stairs, with road cases you just added 20 pounds to your cab and now have to carry it (with the cab inside) across the gravel parking lot. I have casters on my Mesa... I can't roll it in the house on my carpet, it bunches up the carpet and I just had to carry it in the house form across the street (across the yard), so no rolling there either. It's also harder to sit in my back seat too. Casters SOUND like a good idea, but they are used less than you'd think they are..... If you do get any casters for your amp, I'd highly recommend the Mesa slide on ones. You mount the base to the amp and you can easily slide the casters on and off... Don't drill a hole in the bottom of the amp. The BEST investment I've ever made... A convertible hand cart! I can use it as a dolly or lay it down and use it as a cart. With the bigger wheels, you can roll it across gravel parking lots....Stairs are still a problem

I had a road case for my Mesa Mk V head and as telejas says, it made the dang thing so heavy that I sold the case. I do use a road case with my Ghia, and it does have casters, but the entire package is still relatively manageable if I have to carry it.
I have no plans to buy a case for my Wreck head or 1-12 cab, but then again, I use this gear locally and carry it in my personal SUV. If I was touring, it'd be a different story.
