Well I think I've found the sweet spot on my Mazerati GT. With the volume right at about 10 o'clock you can get great solo saturation but it cleans up real nice when you lower your guitar volume. Very cool!
Several folks have asked for a few different things, so these two clips attempt to answer all those questions. One was about the neck pup on the Mazerati GT. One was about lowering the volume on the guitar. One was about how the RXES compares to the SRZ. Since I had everything set up to do it, I figured two clips could answer all those questions (and probably a bit more).
You can hear that the clips start fairly clean and snappy, but later in the clip you'll hear me rotate the guitar volume up so you can get an idea of the difference in saturation and volume. HTH!
First clip compares the Mazerati GT with the SRZ-65 using the guitar's volume control to control saturation. The GT is heard first.
Grosh Bent Top Custom (neck Fralin Blues Special) > Radial JX-2
Radial JX-2 out1 > Mazerati GT > Airbrake (Bedroom Max) > Celestion Alnico Gold
Radial JX-2 out2 > SRZ-65 > Airbrake (Bedroom Max) > Celestion Alnico Gold
Mazerati GT is heard first, then the SRZ.
Settings:
GT_First_SRZ_Second.mp3
The second clip compares the RXES with the SRZ-65. Again the guitar's volume control is used to clean up the saturation. The RXES is heard first.

Radial JX-2 out2 > SRZ-65 > Airbrake (Bedroom Max) > Celestion Alnico Gold

I find it amazing that all three of these amps sound so different. Maybe it's not as clear on the recordings, but here playing them, they are all unique and individual amps. And they are all great world class amps!
