Just curious as to why the therapy wasnt built with a reverb or non reverb option?

Probably complexity and cost. If you visited Doc's shop you'd be amazed they are able to put out as many models as they do! Doc's gotta pick his battles.

Reverb ( or any time based effect ) in front of a dirty amp isn't the best. The Therapy has such a wide band of sweet spots from clean to dirty it would benefit from an effects loop IMO.

There must be a reason no loop- Because the Remedy has one- But the antidote doesn't Many of his amps are loop less . I just assumed Doc knows what he's doing and leave it go at that> Besides if he put one in Someone would be complaining there's no option to eliminate it: ) That's just how things go. Like putting this V/master in a Z Wreck. Probably not going to happen because it's not the best fit :

Tone, simplicity, cost, are my guesses.
Reverb would add a little weight, several components, and about $200 (probably). And it would affect the tone. Users would then complain the reverb wasn't quite right or that it added too much noise. We guitarists are a fickle bunch! :-)
I know it's not because the Doc couldn't add reverb or tremolo or a second channel or a coffee maker! I just don't think that's what he was going for with this amp.
It's pretty incredible that he was able to design and build a certain-to-be-classic tube amp like the Therapy and sell them for just $1,700.
Rock on, Eddie

Thank you Eddie. Your right the Therapy was released to give above average handwired, USA built, rich 6L6 tone, at slightly above entry level price point.
Like my dear mama use to say to me " my little Z , I can't tell you the formula for success, but the formula for failure is try and make EVERYBODY happy."

DR.Z Words of wisdom. Sounds like you need to name an amp in honor of your mom.

I don't think anyone mentioned not being happy. Just conversation.
It's a rockin little amp.
