My JAZ combo has had many speaker changes over the 4 years or so I've had it. I liked quite a few speaks and settled in on the EVM12L for at least a year. I think what I liked about the EV is that it is balanced and although not FRFR like an audio speaker, it was much more so than any guitar speaker I had tried.
A few months ago I tried an Eminence Cannabis Rex. At first I though it might be too dark, odd because I always though the JAZ was if anything too bright. But after some playtime and a few days it brightened up and got much louder. After two months I'm totally digging the CRex in the JAZ. I like it in the Therapy too. So I just ordered another one. It seems to have some aspects of the EV that I liked, even respoce and no spikey areas, loud and punchy. But the CRex add to that a smoother highbend. It really sounds nice. All my EQ can now be set right at noon with small changes to taste. Before I was always fighting the treble and had it set at or below 9:00 usually.
I've been using a 335 recently but grabbed my trusty R9 today. I put a Wampler Tape Delay in the effects loop, a Bearfoot Honey Bee up front and can't picture a better tone. Turning off the OD and just loving the natural voice of the amp as well. I suspose I sound like a broken record. But this is a great amp. Now that its being reissued hopefully more can experience this.
If anyone be has a CRex kicking around you might want to give it a try. It really sounds fantastic to me.

I have a pair of CRexs in a cabinet. I've tried it with my JAZ head. Really nice and I can see it would be useful with certain guitars and for certain genres so I keep it around. I just prefer 10's with that amp.

I do dig hemp-cone speakers (usually ceramic) in the right amps--and I suspect the JAZ might be "right" for it. Funny that you mentioned the Therapy, as well, because the TT 40/40 ceramic was my favorite out of many speakers I tried with it.
