Not a ton of talk around here on this amp. I know, I know... there's many newer kids on the block these days, plus the whole EF86 tone-stack in the preamp was a bit controversial and whatnot; I sense this is a "love it or hate it" kind of amp. But let me just say I'm definitely in the "love it" camp.
Maybe it's just the way it works with a Tele (that is to say, perfectly) or perhaps it's the big bass & relaxed mids that I tend to prefer in an amp's sonic signature. Either way, I'm really digging this amp's clean-to-hairy-to-nasty capabilities. Wonderful little amp—it's a shame that it had to get discontinued. I guess it'll just be my little secret weapon now.
PS. Have I mentioned that the PPI-MV is perfect? Halfway up, with a 1×12 greenback cabinet.. you can hit all your tones on the Volume knob and not blow the walls off. Brilliant.

Sounds like a good time for sure. Been looking to trade my Galaxie for a RX Jr. Yeah, I run a tele myself.

i got one again and think it is the right move for what i am playing. i have a monza but it is in storage a long way away. now this amp with a greenback has sort of a "clean" marshall tone going one. had one when it first came out and thought at the time is was not loud enough but not anymore. with a les paul it grinds like allmans at fillmore east if you ask me. very percussive of course, good for cutting through on blues stuff. i love the boost pedal, just kick it in for lead. i am glad i could get one.
