This thing has a ton of gain. It is not very much like the BB Preamp - much more suited to hard rock. You'll see what I mean when you hear the clip. I played a bit without the Crunch Box so you could get a feel for what was from the guitar and amp, and what was from the Crunch Box. Also, I think this would have been a bit better for a bit slower playing and for power chords. You'll see... Setting: PRS Singlecut (bridge) > MI Audio Crunch Box > RXES > Weber Ceramic Blue Dog Amp: Volume: 9 o'clock Treble: 8 o'clock Middle: Dimed Bass: Dimed Overdose: Off Input: High Crunch Box: Volume: Noon Tone: 9 o'clock Gain: Noon Here's the clip: www.strayca.com/gear/audio/RXES/PRS_CrunchBox_RXES_BlueDog.mp3

Thanks for the clip, Benttop. Good timing--I've got one on the way that should be here in the next day or two. I'm liking it--it may be just what the doctor odered! The RXES does sound awfully good by itself.

You have the same settings of mine on your CB, with gain after noon it begins to be uncontrollable...

I may have to look into this pedal. I love what you are getting out of it. Sounds pretty darn good with chords as well. I think alot of overdrive pedals fall short when it comes to that.
Thanks for the post!

Thanks for the post! One of the coolest things about this pedal is its price! Totally blows everything out of the water in that category. In my view it's a boo-teek pedal in a big-box store price. Nice!
