Well it's a sunny day outside my window after the snowfall so it seemed appropriate to post this. It's a backing track from Journo on the gear page called Outside the Window, a sort of cool jazz thing, at least that's my interpretation. I think it fits the weather today, a laid back little thing. It's a little different for this site but I love the clean tone I got from my Tokai Love Rock (LP style) with Dimarzio virtual P-90s (neck pup) and wanted to share it. It's into my Maz 18 with just a bit of compression and delay. Hope you enjoy it. media.putfile.com/Outside-my-Window-backing-by-Journo

Great clip. I like that tone a lot, and your phrasing is tasty as all get out. You have a very "bouncy" style to your picking and phrasing...I love it. It works great with your tone and the song. The total package....
Great stuff, man.

As always, very tasty Gary! Man that Tokai’s the bomb…you two were bonding hard. Great mix also, comes thru clear as a bell and nice and balanced too. You’d think I had a CD on, the sound was that good. Perhaps the next time I’m by, you can give me a 5 cent tour on how you get a Dr z and a Tokai inside your computer. Whew…it’s beyond me.
BTW just occurred to me that you may know a local talent, Rick Edgett? He’s about as young as you and has some wonderful Jazz influences like yourself. An Old Pepper Tree Vet, as I understand.

Thanks for the comments Mike and Bill. I used to know Rick way back when. We played a lot of concerts together, in different bands though. He used to play with Kevin MacMichael (ex of The Cutting Crew and Robert Plant. R.I.P) and I knew Kevin a lot better. Rick was always a good player though. I didnèt know he got into jazz. The last time I saw him I had just come home from being in Ontario for a couple of years. I said Hi and he just looked at me and walked on by. I guess he didnèt recognize me. Come to think of it though, a lot of guys did that to me at that time. Cèest la vie.

Wow, that was really nice! Great tone, great playing, what more could you ask for? The really cool thing is you can still tell it's a Z amp.

All about that is outstanding Gary.
Very "professional" sounding clip, I could get into putting stuff down here if I knew how to get it to sound THAT good.
heres a heap-O-invsikama.

Thanks so much guys. Sorry for not replying sooner. I've been out with my son who's sick. Nothing serious, just got back from a long vist to the emergency. Seems he has a strep infection in his butt. Didn't know you could get that there but it's been quite painful for him. I'm not feeling good now either. Something's goin' round.
Yeah, you can hear the Z in there. I love the tone; I especially love the low notes, nice and round. I'm always amazed at the range of tones that come from this amp. That Tokai is a nice tone machine too. I want to post it using the bridge pickup and some distortion at some point. It's a great blues machine.
There's lots I'd like to change with this tune. As usual, I'm overplaying. I hear a lot of notes that aren't needed and some stuff I did a little outside don't work as well as I wanted. Oh well, it's a learning experience.

Why can't I get PUTFILE clips to play for me?

I've had problems viewing putfile clips in the past also. Things are working fine now and i don't know why that is...probably because of regular updates I've downloaded. That said, here are a few suggestions listed in Putfiles FAQs.
The video does not play, or audio plays with no video. Make sure that you have the latest Windows Media player and the latest Quicktime player installed. Make sure that you give the video enough time to load, it may take a few minutes. If the video still does not play, the video may be encoded with DIVX or another custom codec. Mac users must use the latest OSX, Internet Explorer, and install all the latest players. Even then some of the Windows media may not work on your Mac.

Really nice stuff! Some of the phrasing reminded me of Jeff Golub...enjoyed the playing.

Very nice, Gary! Dig the chops AND beautiful tone...I'd recognize that clean Maz 210 tone anywhere. Journo actually made a couple 'country' bt's awhile back that I used...real nice & talented guy.

Very nice, Gary. Thanks for the fix while I wait on my Maz Jr. Not that I have your chops...

Thanks for the encouraging words guys. Madison, I remember your clips - Wide Brim Hat was one? Yeah, Jouno (Mats Neumark I think his name is - he's Swedish anyway), is a talented guy. He should be writing for TV or something.
