Yes, the audio didn't track nearly as well as I'd like and yes, my playing is pretty rusty (ok, lotsa missed stuff), but hopefully you get the idea.
This thing crunches a lot harder than you can probably tell. It's all but eliminated the SRZ GAS I once had.

Hey Hohn, GREAT stuff man!! I've been wondering what the Recto Pre sounded like through that amp.... Thanks a million, I may have to look in to one of those if my band keeps doing some of the harder stuff, definately more "metal" growl from a Recto pre than you can get from a Jekyll & Hyde pedal

Nice work! Thanks for sharing - nice range of tones with the Zion. Stang Ray? Man, that's one monster amp ;D and, that touch of Rocky Mountain Way? cool

Thanks for the kind words, fellas.
The gut-wrenching ballsiness of this setup with the P-90s is hard to believe or describe, and I doubt it comes across in the video clip.
One of these days I'll get to record the tones with a real mic and with the volume up on the Stang a little.
I happen to think it sounds good at lower levels, but with the Stang cooking a little (around 1:00), it's almost too good to believe.
Funny thing about the cheapo camcorder mic-- it captures more than I give it credit for. When I'm playing, it doesn't sound nearly that good (off center, muffled, etc) to me.
Then I play it back and I'm tickled how much better it sounds. This Z amp is just amazing!!
Now I just gotta work on the chops......
