I just got this Mp3 from my friend Matt Moody, who's a good young pop/rock singer/songwriter here in Nashville. I do gigs with him on occasion, and he's always fun. His style is somewhere along the Matchbox 20, Train, Marc Broussard type of lines... I did this session for him a while back, basically just a quick demo. Just shows how the "next generation" session player doesn't even get out of his PJ's! LOL He e-mailed me the MP3 of the track, and I added some guitar layers in my bedroom using the same method as I use with the sound clips. Turned out ok, and the tones were decent enough for a demo of the song. Thought you guys might dig this tune, as it's got quite a bit of guitar. Lead ride in the middle, and an outro solo as well with a Lester I used to have & the trusty Maz 38/ Silver Bell setup. www.soundclick.com/util/getplayer.m3u?id=5007980&q=hiCheck Matt out at www.myspace.com/mattmoodyJ

Jayson, You have such a great sense of melody in your playing. I strive for that ultra smooth phrasing too! Love the solo. Great job man.

Really great loved the beginning riff and just kinda the whole song in general. The guys voice didnt really go with the music at first but I got used to it and it was pleasantly different.

Jayson great playing and tasty melodies. What pedal(s) did you use for the octave stuff and the solos?

Jayson great playing and tasty melodies. What pedal(s) did you use for the octave stuff and the solos? Ya know, I don't really remember. It was either a Keeley modded TS-9 or an SD-1. Both are similar, so any good modded Tubescreamer type would get you in the ballpark. The octaves were just played "Wes Montgomery" style... J

" Huge Toned", Jason Very nice man. That is a catchy tune, thanks for sharing. BTW did your RT 66 and cab arrive yet? Z Tommorrow... I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve... ;D And dammit, Mike, stop it with the new ideas like the Prescription OTC! You're gonna make it so all of us Z-folks have a stroke trying to get ALL the cool Z toys... It will never end!! AHHHHHH!!!! Hell, between my new Route 66, the upcoming EGZ-40 and now the OTC, I feel like an overstimulated toddler thinking of all the cool tones possible.... J P.S. Oh, and by the way, no B.S. I used to think that a DC-30 was my favorite amp ever, but after a couple of years in MAZ 38 world, I now hate them. I got a couple of them over the last few weeks on fly-dates, and was like," damn, where's the bottom end? My 38 kicks this thing's a$$!!"
