A friend of mine started making these pedals and I finally got to use it on a session the other day. I posted a clip of the lead ride and outro here.I thought it worked out pretty good...for more on this pedal, see this thread.

I was playing my partscaster tele (yes, amalfitano pups) with the 19Sixty3 boost pedal set to about 1 oclock...Z28 settings were V 12, B 12, T 3...Shure 57 about 1 1/2 foot in front of the amp.

Yup...very, very Nice!! How does it compare to the bad bob? Just got in from the gig...this is a biger club so the Z28 was opened up..V 3, B 12, T3...to me, the 19Sixty3 boost gives me a grittier/grainier kind of grind...very similar to the MiniZ if you ask me...harmonics seem to be more abundant as well. The Bad Bob is smoother/creamier in comparison with more low end. My 2 cents...YMMV

Hey Ronnie, how do you find the Private Jack? I just bought an Emi R,W&B in anticipation of my next Z purchase.......the Z28 after recommendation from lots of folk here on the forum. I hooked it up to my Ghia and it was definately too much speaker for the 18 watter understandably losing quite a lot of highs in the closed back cab I had spare to throw it in.
Is the Private Jack like a Celestion G12H or more like a Vintage 30 or something completley different?
Your thoughts, experience and comments greatly appreciated.

Fantastic tone, Ronnie, as usual. I downloaded the MP3 version. Keep em coming. BTW I sent Jerry A. the link so he could hear his pickups doing their thing.

The Private Jack is supposed to be like a Greenback except that it is higher wattage and more efficient(louder). I like it but it seems like ittook a long time for this speaker to get broke in...it was too dark for a long time but nowadays it sounds good...Im glad I didnt give up and get something else.

Very nice Ronnie. Thanks for sharing, your buddy makes a very nice sounding pedal, and I dig your playing for sure. DR.Z Thanks Doc BTW...I messed this amp up while changing tubes one day(it IS possible to put them in wrong!) and fried the screen grid resistors...Z fixed it for me but I swear he did something else to it because it was night/day difference from when I got it(I did buy it new)...it came back from the Dr's office a LOT stronger than it was.

Thanks for that Ronnie. I appreciate you gettting back to me as I'm looking for the perfect match for the Z28 if there is such a thing. George, For me that'd be a Greenback. I tried one after another; Celestion Blue Bell G12H V30 Emi Wizard Emi Red Fang Emi Texas Heat Weber 12F150 25 watt ummm...........probably some others, and a 25 watt, 16 ohm Greenback was the Clear winner for me. YMMV of course and I too would like to try a R,W& B.

That's great tone and playing Ronnie. The amp and pedal sound great and probably the most drive I've heard in your recordings so far. Very Cool. Great way to start my morning. Thanks for posting.

Dang how'd this get dragged back up top? Thanks guys...just a quick followup, I went back and did 9 more songs for this guy so maybe I'll have some other clips to share in the future. Unfortunately though, my amp wasnt sounding as good on the second session...we'll see when I get a copy.

Ronnie, I didn't notice the Jan date. The string was at the top of the board so I just clicked and smiled. Let us know when you get more clips. Curt, great pics of the R-Double Mean Lean!
