It only seems fitting that since I'm off today, the wife's in a good mood, and there's a new amp in the house...that I throw together a quick sound clip. Sorry for the train wreck ending...I'll go back later and clean it up. I used the comp and OD pedal to try and control the volume in the house...still got pretty loud though. Fender Tele+ Barber Tone Press+ Keeley TS9+ Route 66. Close mic'd with an SM 57 into a Z 1x12 Weber alnico 50w blue dog to a Boss BR1200CD. Down with the blues

Nice job Bill! I see why everyone says the Rt. 66 is thick. It sure is on your clip!

Bill, what speakers are you using with the '66?
Also, where do you get those cool BTs?

Sounds good, bill. Backing track reminds me of pink floyd for some reason- Its got that "chink" of the rhythm guitar on beats 2 and 4 thats quite like shine on you crazy diamond.

Thanks for listening everyone. ...you know how it is when there's a new Z in the house. Lets see, the bt's are from here. The speaker used is a Weber 50w alnico blue dog. And don't worry benttop, the Stingray is STILL numero uno in the house...it'll take quite an amp to unseat the 'ray. ;D I do believe, however, the 66 would be quite formidable with a humbucker equipped axe!

If I didn't already have an SRZ reserved, I'd be thinking along the lines of the Rt 66 for my PRS.

Sell your SRZ for a PROFIT, then get a '66..... Gotta get it first. My expectation is that when I plug in, she's mine!

Dusted off my old '83 red strat (seriously!), plugged into the 'ray, and ran with the same bt as above. Please excuse the utter sloppiness , poor recording, and WEIRD ending ;D, but if you want to hear a Strat/Stingray/TS808... Link at top of page.
