All the usual disclaimers apply: this is wanking, noodling, whatever and is presented with mistakes and lapses of judgment intact. Just ignore the playing, but the amp sounds pretty good if you ask me. First wank with the 2x12 cab:Grosh Retro Classic VT > Tube Screamer > Stingray > Airbrake > 2x12 (Alnico Blues) Ibanez Tube Screamer: Gain: 3 o'clock Tone: 9 o'clock Volume: Noon Amp: Cut: Noon Tone: 3 Volume: Noon Input: Hi Airbrake: Thru (loud!) NICE tone Steve.... sounds like you were having some fun, loving mine too! I really like your clip because it shows how sweet and VOX like it is, BUT also seems to be able to get the snarl ( from pedals) and some UN VOX-like thicker mojo sound- all while still retaining the pretty VOX like qualities... I love playing this amp live, and is really where it shines! ;D

I'm really torn - I REALLY want to take the amp out this weekend, but I have a LOAD of logistics issues, and I'm still playing with it here in the studio (and having way too much fun). I'm thinking I may as well bite the bullet and deal with the logistics, because this thing is going to be PERFECT for our covers band, and on days when logistics aren't the issue, I totally expect it to be great in the blues band as well. AAUUGGGHHH! I know, I need two of these - yeah, that's the ticket! I sure do! Thanks! Yeah, it sounds great without the pedal, but just gets nasty with it. Very cool! Having fun? An understatement! This is a great amp! ;D

Benttop--
I don't care who you are-- that's good tone right there!
The sheer musicality of this amp is mind-boggling.
I'm glad that it only has a couple knobs-- fewer chances for me to screw up the tone!

Karma for the great playing and tone Steve. That amp just continues to amaze me! Thanks! In my view, the Stingray (Stang Ray) is one of only two amps I've owned over my 40 years of playing that rise to the level of setting the pace for all the others. It truly is a great amp in every context of that word. As far as I'm concerned, all the other clean amps in the world want to be a Stingray when they grow up...
