I remember when Cryo treated cutting tools became available in metal-working from when I was working as a machinist. This was about 30 years ago. There was a noticeable improvement in the life of the tool. Since then Cryo has sort of become snake-oil and used as a marketing tool for all sorts of products. I have tried Cryo treated guitar strings and noticed a change in tone (not necessarily an improvement) but not really any change in longevity. Definitely not worth the increased cost.
I think these tubes are mostly intended for hi-fi use. Guitar players don't really have any use for frequencies below 80hz and above 10khz. Also the way tubes add a small amount of harmonic distortion is the thing we like about tube guitar amps. I haven't heard any of these treated tubes in a guitar amp but I am VERY wary that they would be worth the price vs. NOS tubes. NOS tubes are still going to last a lot longer because of the better mechanical construction and coatings.

Watford Valves in the UK have been marketing cryo treated tubes for some years now. I've tried some of their preamp tubes and I can't say I've noticed any real difference, but some reviews say different. www.watfordvalves.com/products.asp?main=Valves
