Been quite awhile since I bought an amp, mostly have been just using old marshalls, but I've had I've had a lot of different amps over the years. Don't know why but I decided to try a Dr Z, picked the route 66 and I sure am impressed. Really nice tone and feel, I attenuate and/or slave most amps cause you can't really have any stage volume these days and it worked great in this regard too. Loves pedals. Makes my plexis sound thin and harsh now difficult to go back. Anyway thanks for a terrific product.

Welcome to the forum and I'm glad you love the Route 66. I've yet to hear one in person and certainly would like a whack at one.

The Route 66 will certainly change your mind about what "great guitar tone" should sound like. Congrats on your Route 66, stevemd, and welcome to Z-talk. Stick around, the people here are great.

Welcome to the forum. I've never played a 66 either, but it was the Dave Grissom clips I heard about 8 years ago and the comment/compliment from Mike "Fulltone" Fuller that directed me to Dr Z amps. I've loved each one I've had AND have.

Welcome to the forum. I love old Marshalls and in fact I own two replicas. But I couldn't imagine life without a Z

DC here! Welcome to the forum and congrats to a great amp. I have the Route66 with Doc's 2x10" cab - removable backplate. Best amp I ever had or played, hands down. Enjoy and keep on rocking! Cheers: Dixiechicken!

I just sold my 66. I loved that amp, but it was too loud for the house. Even with an Airbrake. So fantastic sounding, though.
