So, as many may know, I am gigging my new PRS S2 Mira (very SG like) with my current rock band, and yes, it ROCKS! However, today I got some "me" time, and thought I'd drag out my Strat, which I haven't touched in ages Boy oh boy, does that guitar SING through the Therapy!! Settings I ended up favouring were: MV - noon B - noon M - 3 T - noon V - 1 and V - 11, with the MV at 1 BL on 3 clicks....... I have to respect my ears / neighbours / windows Good grief, this thing just sounded so STRAT like - really lively, full bodied; sustain for days; woody as heck; and what REALLY made me smile was, each pup setting sounded like the essence of that setting! The bridge wasn't too bright, but punched; the neck wasn't too dark but was rich and woody; the mid rocked; and positions 2 and 4 just quacked away, and gave me some seriously good Hendrix tones........ I truly haven't enjoyed that guitar as much..... EVER! I found those two settings of the MV-V altered the tones incredibly to go between two tones I adore - Aynsley Lister and SRV Man, I need to sub in a band that needs a Strat now, just for the heck of it!

I totally agree - my first plug-in to the Therapy was my Tele, and it was awesome. Took a while before I tried the Strat, and I cannot pry it out of the input - the amp and the guitar just love each other. As you say, sustain! There is nothing quite like a Strat with sustain! Give a guy goose flesh for sure...

Yeah, I like it with my tele more than my LP or 336.

You're cruel guys, aren't you? This thread... I mean, we are trying to resist here! I've just decided to sell my Bacchus Les Paul '54 (a great guitar, but I only use my strat these days). So it could be the time for me to jump into the Therapy world. I'll go blond and 1x12 cab. What would you choose as speaker to play blues rock, mostly at home but with really tolerant neighbors (from The Beatles last albums to The Black Keys, Joe Walsh, Hendrix, Cream...)?

I haven't tried anything but the Alnico Gold, and it sounds amazing. Kind of afraid to try anything else, actually.

I love my Tele through this amp I have never heard better! I can't believe what my Strat does with this amp, life changing. I plugged in my Les Paul today and just strummed chords clean; I could have gone out and waxed my car before the sustain and overtones finished..........

I don't want to say this but, I think the good Dr. has shot himself in the foot with this design I don't see myself ever needing another amp.

I think he'll sell a lot of these for sure. But it still isn't a 1x10 Ghia combo. You would never compare the two except for the fact that you can get the Carmen Ghia in your Karmen Ghia's trunk.

I don't want to say this but, I think the good Dr. has shot himself in the foot with this design I don't see myself ever needing another amp. I TOTALLY agree with the last sentiment.......... but not so sure at all with the first! The Doc needs to sell to a NEW audience, not just us old hands, and with this amp, he has opened to door to a brand new "demographic" I think it's called - a more modern tone-seeker.......... In fairness to your point, he might see tailing off on certain amps (Remedy, Z28, EZG50 maybe? Who knows?) but in the round, I think the resounding success of this beauty will far outweigh the downside........ and he may be able to rationalise his line up too? Just my .02, but all I know is, NO-ONE is getting their hands on my Therapy...... EVER!
