Love this little monster; great amp for pedals as advertised, WAY louder than I thought it would be in "high" mode, tons of bottom end, big cleans, perfect practice volume in "low." I liked the Therapy a lot and already miss it a little, but the M12 is exactly right for what I'm doing now. Very easily giggable--would make a nice pair with the Z-28 if you needed stereo or just more oomph. Not that it lacks oomph!

So you think the m12 would suffice for live gigging?

I gig with my M12 quite often. It's a lot louder than what you would expect. I run on the low setting with the bass at 2, treble at 10, and volume at 2. We are a 5 piece band and my stage volume is more than enough.

So, it sounds like the M12 is finally opening some eyes & ears around here and gettin' some R-E-S-P-E-C-T. Cool! (I hate to say I told you so.)

Have you plugged into the 4x10 yet? Not yet, Mike. Digging it too much through the Gold!

So, it sounds like the M12 is finally opening some eyes & ears around here and gettin' some R-E-S-P-E-C-T. Cool! (I hate to say I told you so.)It's a very thoughtful design. Haven't really opened it up yet, but so far I'm digging it at low-ish volumes with pedals. I'm trying to make sense of my reaction to the Therapy vs the M12: it's not so much that the T was too much amp; it was more a matter of whether it did anything that my other Zs didn't do. It did fit nicely between the EZG and the Z-28, but to me it was kind of a big-bottle Maz; a dream amp for a lot of folks, but not what I was ultimately looking for. The M12 is, as the Humbucker site says, maybe a bit more on the half-power Ray-meets-Wreck end of things, and that's pretty different from my other stuff, for sure. So yeah--it's awesome. Amazingly fat tones for a low-powered amp, too.

Ahhhhhhhh ! The M12 is so tempting to me. I keep thinking about an amp to compliment the Ghia in a stereo setup and I keep thinking the M12 with the Ghia might be really cool. Especially with the M12 being the main pedal mule and the Ghia being the free loving hippie - guitar into amp into universe of love - gal that she is. Ahhhhhhhhhh !
Really glad you are enjoying it so far.

Running it through two 1x12 Z-cabs at the moment, one Gold and one G12H30. Pretty dang nice, I have to say. I also got to crank it a bit with a Brakelite--pretty impressive tone straight-in with a Lester, although it does get a bit fizzy if you don't watch the treble setting. Wouldn't mind a bit more sag/compression: may look into a NOS 5Y3.
