Hi all!
Just wanted to share my love for the Maz 8. Just played a couple of shows last week with the following two amp set up:
Dirty Sounds: Les Paul into a Maz 8 (with blue) Volume full Master at 2:00 Brake Lite on 2 (K.O.T. boost for leads) Clean Sounds: Les Paul into a Fender EC Tremolux Volume on 3
Loving the two amp set-up!!
Funny how you strike gold with your sound once in a while. I was smiling all night.
On a side note....the Fulltone A/B/Y pedal is amazing...very nice and seamless switching from amp to amp. Highly recommend.
Mike

The 8 is just such a great , versatile amp. Probably the most under-rated amp in the Z line-up.

I took mine out for a rehearsal last night and loved the changes I made. My back is starting to act up again so I wanted to make the 8 a little bit lighter. I dropped in The Jensen P12Q I bought a few months ago and used it without a Brakelite - for what I'm using it for it sounded much better as well as a few pounds lighter. Great amp for sure.

At this particular venue (smallish pub) I didn't have to mic it. I did start with the brake lite on 3 and turned it to 2 after the first set. In fact, I rarely mic the Maz 8 since we play mostly pubs. The one bigger venue we play regularly, I usually start with the brake lite at 1, then I just turn it off as the crowd gets rowdier. Works for me. (I do carry a SM57 with me just in case). Maybe the speaker experts can chime in, but the Blue seems to get quite loud. Hope that helps. Mike

I love the 8 w/Blue. With those higher settings of V and Master, it does kick out a lot of sound. Very satisfying.

An attenuator with a single ended 8W amp...good old Z-Watts at work again!

We've got a gig in a small sports bar coming up soon. I'm going to use the Maz 8. I bet it's plenty loud.
