My buddy is looking into a Therapy. He wanted to see what I meant about the volumes as compared to the tones from the amp. Being that it's late, I did the two extremes at a bedroom volume. Figured I'd share them here in their crappy glory, lol. First video is with the MV maxed and the V minimal...the second is the MV minimal and the V maxed...EQ settings are at 12 o 'clock for both...Kinda gives you the extremes of what the Therapy is about. I used my PRS custom 24, since he's a bucker guy just to give a baseline. I tried keeping the material similar for the demo for comparison. I hope to do a cranked demo eventually, because that's where the amp comes to life. Cab is a Z convertible 2x10...not that you can get the full vibe... EDIT: Just combined the videos and made them more presentable for Doc's use

I think those two videos give the definition of 'clean to mean' in less than 40 seconds. Also that valence is so cool lurking in the background ... I see a Z on there...thought you weren't gonna cave to Z pressure to apply it.

Man, that sure covers the extremities of this this amp perfectly - no messing around! Sometimes hard to believe it's the same amp, eh? And then when you open her up.......

Sorry the demos weren't too long, but it was late and I didn't want to set up a camera and mic. Maybe I'll do that this weekend. And yeah, I succumbed to the Z pressure haha. I figured that if I hated it, I could always remove it.

I must be missing something...or maybe not. At the dealer (through the couple of cabs they had) I could not get the Therapy to sound like this at all. As well, it's hard to turn it up right in middle of the store. So, based on Eric's clips above, I decided to take the amp home for a couple nights to try it in my own room (my guitars/cabs/attenuators, etc). I still may not keep it, but there seems to be something I'm missing out on here by giving the amp a half-a$$ed demo at the dealer. I will say though...stuff that comes home tends to never escape from the black hole that is the Man Cave

Lol. Def worth another shot. I went with the prs since the hfs pickup is lower output than what I have in my lp's. We all know what it sounds like with a tele via the other demos. I may break a lp out later to see what that sounds like. I also want to see how it sounds with a lil goose from an ep booster as well.

You could spend the time you needed to actually hear the amp or guitar ect... Turn it up, turn it down...whatever. As long as nobody else came in I'd forget I was in a music store and really zone in on the amp. That cost me some dough. Hope you enjoy it at the house. It does look good in red.

Wifey was looming, so I kept it at a bare minimum. She's workin' during the day Saturday, so that may be prime time to do more playing and demoing . Hopefully, I'll be in better playing shape as well..my fretting wrist is still sore from taking that nose dive in my front yard a week and a half ago.

Great job Eric. Thanks for recording and posting. Shows the versatility of the Therapy with a Humbucker very well. I'll need to post these.
