I made a sound clip of the 6545 through a Z 2x10 cab. Hopefully this will assist others when trying to decide if the 6545 or the Z 2x10 cab will give them the tone they are looking for. No external devices or pedals were used during the recording of this clip. This is not a studio quality clip but I think it captures the essence of both the 6545 and the Z 2x10 cab well enough to assist those who have never heard either. Again, this clip is of the 6545 into a Dr. Z 2x10 cab. The crunch tones were through the 65 side of the amp and the clean tones were through the 45 side of the amp. My pleasure. The forum needed a clip of both the 6545 and the Z 2x10 cab. I am amazed at how good the Z 2x10 cab sounds. It sounds even better in person. By the way... please forgive the sloppy playing. It was late, I was tired & I don't practice as much as I used to

Nice, question, what pickup configuration was that?

The pickups were humbuckers. The "dirty" tones were through the bridge humbucker and the "clean" tones were through the neck humbucker.

Thanks, you clip sounds great. I've started saving my pennies for one, but havn't had the opportunity to play one and outside of the clips on the website and this one havn't heard much more. Do you remember the settings on the diffeerent channels? Was that with the gain or MV dimed? That opening sound just screams down & dirty rock, I love it.

Here is a picture of the amp. These are the exact settings I used to record the clip. I never thought to turn the master up full tilt and use the gain knob to adjust my volume level. I'll have to try that tonight and see how it sounds.

Hey Prowler, does the master effect the 45 side too?

The master knob only controls the volume of the 65 side. The volume of the 45 side is controlled by its own volume knob.
