So, I know that the 45 is a fixed bias amp. I've heard that some fixed bias amps can be converted to cathode bias, changing the sound. My questions are:
Can the KT-45 be changed to cathode bias? How different will it sound? Could it be safely returned from cathode back to fixed bias? Has anyone done this?
I'm just generally curious.

I would not do this.
I have not heard a cathode biased EL34 amp yet that I really like.
The amp is magic the way it is.
