When should I swap the bottles on my verb? It is 1 year old. Sounds awesome still.
Also so how should I do the swap mad may other maintenance/cleaning?
thanks

I had my Z-verb for a little over 3 years and never changed anything. I used it for an hour or two several days a week over that period. Sounded as good the day I sold it as the day I bought it used. I did swap out the (probably factory) 6V6 for an NOS I had laying around to see if there was a noticable improvement but there wasn't so the stock tube went back in. No guarantees with tube life, but you should be good for a long time still.

Tube verbs don't seem to burn out the tubes much and it SEEMS that you'll get years on them unless they just fail totally. I'm sure someone who is sure will pop by and help, but when I had a tube verb head from another company the owner of that company basically told me that the quality of the tubes weren't too important and that they'd last a long time.
But he wasn't a doctor.

Reverb units aren't pushing the tubes nearly as hard as amps do. If it still sounds good with no problems (static, noise, etc.), I wouldn't worry about it. I've had the same tubes in my Fender stand-alone for years...so long I can't really remember how long...and it still works fine.

Agree with the above. Especially on a reverb unit - don't change tubes until they fail or give you some obvious sign. They may last a long, long time.
