I have played my therapist for only 15 minutes, and I have to say - she is the amp of the century. Wow! This thing sounds amazing. I have to get more time in to figure out how to get the nuances, but from what I just heard, this is my therapist. Awesome. All she needs now is a name - I never name my amps, but this one just earned it. With that big hunk of burl on the front, her name sure isn't "Heather" or "Tiffany" that's for sure. Help me out guys - what's a nice girly-burly name for my new therapist?

On another note (pun intended) Steve is this not the best amp that ever drew a note from your guitar?

I'm kinda thinking 1950's waitress names might work, Steve. Rosie, Ruby, Mabel, ....SUE..... ?

On another note (pun intended) Steve is this not the best amp that ever drew a note from your guitar? Just had another 20 minutes - playing songs I had forgotten about but the sound suggests them. Your assessment is right on. It is otherworldly good. So far just the Tele, but I'm having a lot of fun. The R8 ought to be interesting, as well as my Grosh Bent Top Custom. But now I'm thinking on some slide...

Hi Steve,
Maybe I'll have the opportunity to play that bad girl one day. It looks a little macho for a girl's name but as that seems to be the way this thread is leaning, I'll vote for Lucille. A tribute to my guitar hero and the rough & tumble story behind his guitar's name. This amp has me more interested than any Z since the release of the EZG even though I rarely play out anymore. Looking forward to more reports on the tone (especially the clean tones). Congratulations on a beautiful looking and sounding amp. Harvey did you up proud on that valence.
Nick

Yeah, Lucille is a good one all right, although I tend to think of it as "taken."

OK so far I think it's between these two: 1. Roxanne 2. Christine

I had no idea people named their amps. I used to read a magazine called Byte. A writer there named every piece of equipment he owned. He wrote for Byte about his experiences with his computers, but he's an author who writes science fiction. This was in the days before home networks, but he still had a name for every computer and printer in his house. I thought it was hilarious reading, but he was quite serious about picking an appropriate name for each piece of equipment. I've never named any of my gear, but this time it just seems appropriate for some reason.

OK I get that Lucille is taken. Elvira "Mistress of the Dark" comes to mind. I like Roxanne too.

I think it's going to be Roxanne. I haven't gotten that song out of my head since two hours ago. Update: This amp totally SMOKES for slide. Seriously wicked tones with my PRS. Gotta stop by the shop and get some new strings though - they haven't been changed in quite a while.

Spoken in that Nor'leans style. You could call her Max for short.
