So I've had a Maz38 for a while now and it's amazing, but I've been running my pedals direct into the front. I'm thinking having modulation and delay in a loop may produce better results. The tone gets kind of muddied up with overdrive and say a phaser going. So I'm debating the idea of sending my head in to have the fx loop added. Anyone have any experience with this amp and the eventide pedals in a loop as opposed to the front?
Thanks for any info!

Eliju.
I can't speak specifically to the Eventide pedals, but I can relate a couple things re: the Maz 38 and the loop. I sent my '07 head in to have the loop installed because I wanted to be able to hear the pedals I sometimes use in their own terms rather than having my Zendrive pushing the front end, etc. I sometimes also add compression (Wampler) and a little delay (Wampler). When I want to drive the amp and hear the 38 of its own voice, I max the volume and set the Master to suit the room, setting, etc. (still my favorite tone from any amp). When I want to fiddle around more I use the pedals in the loop with volume around 9:00 so I can tweak the finer tunings and voicings on the pedals, etc. YMMV, but for me the versatility of the loop was worth it.
Perhaps a more important aspect is this: the install experience was terrific from start to finish. The folks at Doc's shop are the BEST!

I don't have Eventide pedals but I do run my Z-Verb through the effects loop. Works great.
