You may have seen my post in the Zwreck forum about a friend lending me a Zwreck while I wait for my Theropy . . . .
well, that same friend also lent me his 6545
This was the first Z amp I wanted and that was before I even tried any Zamps.
I haven't plugged it in yet because I need to get familular with the Zwreck because I am using it at church.
I am not on the schedule next week so I'll get time with the 6545. I'm very excited to fire it up.
Which side should I try first? Kt or SRZ?
Todd

If you're gonna play a Z-Wreck in church you'd better be in a LARGE church or bring an attenuator As for the 6545, if it sounds like mine go right for the 65 side. The 45 is cool too but my 65 side is killer.

Phil, the Wreck actually did great at Church during rehearsal Wednesday. Our place isn't very big, might seat 400 but we do have a live drummer.

Wow, is this amp IN YOUR FACE lol I played around for about 30 minutes after church yesterday. I didn't play with the knobs yet just left set where they were when I picked up. Nice balance between the channels. I want to see if I can get it set up like a rymth and lead channel. Both channels roar pretty good with my SGJ too so there wasn't as much contrast between them as I thought there would be. The OD on the 45 seemed a little grainier where the 65 side roared a bit more but with less background noise. will play more tomorrow Todd

I like the SRZ side the best, but the KT side has it's benefits also.

I'm really sorry guys, I didn't close the loop on this one! I did spend some time with both sides on this amp. The gain on both sides was actually very cool, the KT side can really get it done but was a looser feeling to me and sounded a bit more grainy (like it was working hard to make that tone) where the SRZ side screamed with ease! The SRZ had a much more aggresive tone to it. Very Marshally but with better bottom end. I did have to return the amp before I really got a chance to spend a ton of time with this amp though. Once my Therapy arrived . . . . well, you know, new toy in the house, the old toys get set aside Todd
