Totally different animals, galaxie has a different phase inverter and 6l6's. You'll have to hear one to know if you like that better than the RX.

I had a Galaxie and RxES at the same time, and I ended up sticking with the RxES. There's just something I love about the way EL84 tubes respond when you really get them cooking. Don't get me wrong though, the Galaxie was a very cool amp, just not exactly what I was looking for. If you like the sound of an old cranked up tweed Fender then you'll love the Galaxie. I actually really liked channel one. In the end though, I think I just prefer the sound of EL84's, not to mention the RxES is my all time favorite amp. You should deffinately try them out if you can.

And I build the RXES so you know they're cool!
