Just received my 2011 Black 1x10 Monza with MV MOD a few hours ago and am pretty stoked bro's and sis's. First observations are that it is NOT as loud as I had expected. Mostly because I read that a lot of people thought it was too loud with out the master, but with the master all the way up, I still could crank it and not be trouble by excessive noise. Cool to me. It seems to be able to tie in with the Ghia really well in an ABY kinda way, and it is ALOT more manageable than I expected. You'd guess I thought I was buying a gremlin and was afraid to get it wet....well I guess I AM afraid to get my amp wet....unless it would multiply too Okay anyway I can't wait to play it with a drummer and feel it in a more real world scene. The Ghia and the Monza are pretty different to me in there voices, but I believe the are very complimentary with one another. The Red Fang sounds pretty good so far to me. I can for sure hear that it sounds different than my Eminence Legends that I've been using with the Ghia, and the Monza sounded ... not good with legends to me. Real nasally. Ghia sounded fine with the Fang but I like the Legends with it so much. Okay that is all pic time

Congrats on the Monza - I lobe mine. It sits in my living room where I play it every night while wife watches tv. I've said all along it was capable of being a bedroom amp that can roar! Have fun with it!

Congrats! Dig the Hellcaster too! I just picked up the Will Ray Jazz a caster ! The frets are pretty mangled and need some repair BUT it's awesome sounding and cool looking to boot.

Moza's are loud but that's a good thing. You can tame them with the drive knob. I think guys are afraid to turn it to far to the left. But it's okay it only keeps the PI from driving so hard. The mv would be a great gift to this amp. The red fang is huge. Quickly becoming one of my favorite speakers.

Monza's are loud but that's a good thing......................... The mv would be a great gift to this amp. Yeah I totally take back that the Monza isn't that loud, as I found myself reaching for the MV on the back after I noticed I wasn't hearing the drummer as well as usual . I think the fact that the Monza's sound is not hard on my ears played a factor in thinking it wasn't that loud. My ear fatigue is a lot less with the Z amps I've owned compared to other amps I've been around in the past. After my first rehearsal with the Monza/Ghia two amp system I'd have to say that they worked together better than I actually thought they would. I didn't LOVE the Monza/Fang compared to the Ghia/Legend at home as far as sweetness to the tone and kept hearing the "mid range hump" of the Fang BUT live they really did well together and instead of switching amps I combined them for a nice huge fat tone sandwich. Yum yum yum. A couple of times I'd lay down a loop with my Ditto on Ghia and then switch to the Monza for some solo action. PERFECT compliment and the Monza for sure just made a place in my heart for itself. Can't wait to continue the fun at next weeks. Soon we'll be playing out again and I can't wait. I've bought 2 Dr Z amps now and both of them are just amazing tone machines and together they cost me 200 bucks less than the /13 i bought when i started getting into nicer stuff. I think the thing I like about these Z's is that it feels like their design is made to effect the song/playing...the overall sound of the player. They both feel like they have a say in the song, and I love the fact that they are ART themselves.

Last night whilst rocking, there was a real sweet spot when I was doing some solo work and I was really enjoying the Monza tone and I LITERALLY thought about your picture Rik and the caption "MONZA!!!!!!!" I now understand.
