So after reading many post, asking a few specific questions, thanks to those who answered, I am thinking of pulling the trigger on a 1x10 monza combo. I play at home, with musical influences manly in the blues and classic rock camp and have the need to tame volume to a respectable level. I enjoy the marshall type grind and do not use pedals. This would be my first z amp, but hopefully not the last as I have already set my sights on others thanks to your insights and posts! Anyone think I am way off base. Hope, you all enjoying your weekend! Take care, Matt

I literally just DID pull the trigger on a used 1x10 Monza combo !!! So i say go for it. There is a great GREAT clip somewhere around here with one of the fellas letting it rip in similar genera with the little monza and that was what put me over the edge. Just knowing that it was more than a " 1 trick pony ". I said to myself, " I should of known better with Doc that he wouldn't make a 1 trick pony " .. .. He's too creative. As long as you've got the master volume you'll love it I bet. I'll look for the videos and clips that got me pulling out the cyber pocket book. here's one link
here's the other one

I agree. MAKE SURE that you get the Master Volume version. I too play classic rock (Sabbath, Zeppelin, Cream, Free) and do not care for pedals. I have also found that using the Swart Nite Lite (or is it Night Light?) attenuator in combination with the master volume is incredible. The Master Volume alone is great, but combined with the Swart, you can add power tube distortion into the mix.
