Saw Anson over 20 years ago in Chicago. Great show. I'll have to check his schedule, see if he's local. Back then he was playing through a blackface Fender, might have been a super reverb.

Yep, he was a 'Super'man for years. He's a convert.

Anson at MCL Grand Lewisville tonight. Love Anson's tasty playing , I could listen to him for hours, even if he'd plugged into a Super not a Z...........

It was a great show. He doesn't play out often, but when he does, I'm there.

I just found out...years ago, Anson toured with a bass player named Mike Judge....yes, the same Mike Judge that went on to create Beavis and Butthead.

Looking closely at that pic it seems that he is plugged into the SR, not the Z, so he may not be a full convert yet. I get that. A BFSR was the last Fender I gigged with regularly before I switched to "Z's". I missed some of what my SR did. It felt looser, if that makes any sense. Overall I liked my MAZ better and since I could only have one amp on stage that was it. It would be nice to be able to have them both.

I went to see The Fabulous Thunderbirds in Dallas last night. About half way though their set, they announced a "special guest." You guessed it; Anson Funderburgh!
