I've been on the hunt for another "grab and go" combo to help supplement my main rig. I have a Matchless HC-30 and 2x12 cab all road cased up usually living in our trailer. Very tough to move by myself and a real pain to drag it around unless we are doing a full load in at bigger venues/stages. Found a 1x12 combo on ebay and snagged it, think it's from 2004.
I do other gigs and smaller shows where I've been using a DRRI for a while. No complaints, but I wasn't getting that bouncy spanky growling jangle that I love from el84 amps. I was going to get a Ghia but felt it might not have enough headroom. I've always knew of the Mazerati but never messed with one. This is my second Z, first being a Maz 18 NR. I quickly got rid of that one cause it didn't have the headroom I needed.
Looking forward to playing with the Mazerati. I'd like to get a Celestion Gold to drop in it, do y'all have any other speaker suggestions?
The seller says the tubes in it are on the older side but nothing is failing so I'll be looking at a new set of power tubes at least in the near future too.
I'm after a country picking tone, with a little hair on it, spanky bouncy and fat. Clean headroom is important, I kick it up a notch with a few different ODs when needed.
Will post some pics once I get it in hand. Very excite!
Also need to tune up my Matchless. May spring for a pair of Blues and some better tubes. I think mine are starting to show their age a bit. Last couple gigs haven't been as popping as normal.

Did you get the blonde Mazerati off eBay?
I picked up a black 2004 Mazerati 1x12 combo a couple months back. I had a couple of Ghias over the years. I liked the Ghias but I LOVE the Mazerati. Has more "ommmph" than the Ghia. Just as simple to use, a volume and a tone knob. I changed my speaker to a Celestion Gold. It sounds great. Using TAD EL84s. No complaints. You will love it. Let us know what you think,

I love my Mazerati and will NEVER sell it, but IF you're looking for exactly what you're describing, you might like the Stangray better. The mazerati, has a great HUGE bottom end, and round mids, but the highs are not what I would call spanky. they are a bit muted. and it stays clean for a LONG time. I think of it as the best Unobtrusive amp ive ever played. some might call it boring or bland, but that's what I like about it. Jacques

I found a deal on a couple of quartets of JJs so I ordered those. Still looking for a deal on a Gold.
I may end up trying a Stangray too, just to satisfy my curiosity.

My version one Mazerati has been so good to me. It's such a phenomenal amp. I use TAD EL84 STRs and they've worked out nicely.

I've been playing guitar for over 30 years, and have had a lot of amps. The Stangray might have the best cleans I've heard. When you said "bouncy spanky growling jangle that I love from el84 amps. I was going to get a Ghia but felt it might not have enough headroom " I immediately thought of the Stangray. Every time Don and I get together to have a Z shootout the Stangray wins...we're talking close to 30 Z's and other amps it's up against. A Stangray through an open back with two Blues or one Gold is so 3D you can almost see the harmonics bouncing around the room. Very few other amps do this to the degree the Stangray does it. It sounds absolutely great at lower volumes but can get LOUD with headroom if you want it to and the tone controls are very versatile for dialing in a clear top and fat bottom or a top that's got some hair while retaining the tight bottom. It's a magic amp.

Hope you are enjoying its tone.
