I've tried a bunch and the best I've had so far are GE 5 stars. The regular GE NOS ($18), and the Rca Blackplate both hummed in V1 of my MAZ 38. No hum in any other postion. Don't get me wrong, these are both great tubes, particularly the RCA, but the Maz is picky about what goes in V1 I guess. The GE 5 stars didn't hum and sound great. I wrote to Doc about this some time ago, and he recommended GE 5 Stars, and RCA Command Series 5751's. You need to check with Mike at KCA. I just checked his inventory and he's loaded with great 5751's including the 2 premium ones listed above. Good Luck! By the way, what are you going to use them in? Harold

Hi Paul!
I got mine from a private seller on Ebay. The best one that is in V1 of my MAZ is a triple mica GE 5 star with orange script on the tube. The other one's were double mica with white writing. I'd like to try one of the RCA Command Series too!
Good Luck!
Harold
