Pat , what do you mean dead? Tubes lighting up? Shake unit , do you hear the thunder ? Did you ask sell if it was OK before shipping?

Z Hey Doc. Pat bought the verb from me and it had been working great. You may or may not remember but when I bought it, it was creating very little verb effect. You told me to contact don in repairs to try a new verb tank. I recieved the new tank and installed it and everything was great. I used the Zverb for recording and then decided to part with it because I don't use it in my live rig. I'm wondering if something could've got damaged during shipping??

Shoot the reverb could have come un-plugged, I would check the RCA cables first.

After checking to make sure it's not RCA cables check springs and connectors to make sure that one of them did not break in shipping - it happened to my JAZ 20/40. I replaced tank $25 shipped) and it works fine.

My tech looked it over and the 6v6 tube was bad. We replaced it. Cables are hooked up and were getting very little reverb when the knobs are dimed. With those settings, it really seems to squash the tone and it's not a pleasant tone.
He gave it a good look over and couldn't see anything that it could be.
I will be getting ahold of you doc in a couple days to send it in for a check up.

OK, If the 6V6 failed it could have taken some parts with it. Hope it's not the Reverb Transformer, but we'll check it out. I hope you got it a good price.
FYI I do not recommend stacking the Z Verb on the Z Wreck head. Sometimes it works just fine ( very slight hum), other times it will screw with the reverb tank and cause a big hum.

DR.Z I got the matching Quantum Z-Verb last month and like Doc says, there is only a slight hum (thankfully) when placed atop the Z-Wreck head. However, in my case the hum is minimal so I keep it there because, well, it looks so darn cool . Keith
