I finally found the tone i was looking for. The MAZ 8 is a killer amp. I have spent the best part of 20 years looking the MAZ tone until i found a used one with a celestion blue. I have gone through plenty of amps but none has made me smile as much as the the MAZ. I am looking to do some small gigs with this amp as a three piece. I have played plenty of valve amps and the Maz looks bulletproof. is it best to get the amp serviced every year if I'm playing it every day?

I don't know about service. But if you're playing it every day, you might need that smile surgically removed every so often!
Congrats on the new amp, and welcome to Z-talk...

Congrats on the amp! I am sure you'll have years of enjoyment out of it. No need to send it in every year unless you have a problem. You should change the tubes depending on how much you are playing. I replace my power tubes every year and replace the preamp tubes once a year. If you do that, you should be problem free unless something fails. Then Doc has a troubleshooting guide to help. I think everyone has a little different idea of how they schedule it but the amp should be good to go for years to come. Enjoy!

Congrats on a great amp. The Blue really shines in this amp. Power tube every 300 hours. Or when you hear that sound going away. Have fun.

I love the MAZ 8 I'm curious to try the h12 speaker model as well now to listen to the difference

Congrats on the Maz 8! It certainly is a great amp, especially with the Celestion Blue. If you are thinking of comparing other speakers, I suggest that you also try a Celestion Gold. It has a tighter bass response than the Blue, which IMHO really provides a "bigger" and more percussive sound for the amp.
