After hearing a friend play through a pair of 1x12's (one with a Creamback M and one with an H), I decided to give it a shot in my 2x12 Avatar cab. I just put them in and it sounded pretty darn good with my Avatar 45, and a bit brighter with my Remedy (which isn't all that bad!). I need to do a lot more tweaking and I need to get it out of my heavily insulated/sound deadening office, but this might not be a bad combination!
More to follow after I spend some time with the cab . . .

I'm using two 112 cabs: g12h75 creamback in an avatar vintage cab and v30 (hellatone) in self built pine cab. Sounds great with my Maz 38 but what surprised me was how they sound with my Remedy (mainly surprised by H creamback sounding so good with the Remedy). I want to try the M. Are the H and M matching up ok volume wise? I believe the M in rated 97db vs 100db for the H.

It should be fine. It's the same mis-match as the V30/G12H-30 in the Doc's 2x12 and Z Best. So far it sounds pretty darn good, but I need more time and a better environment.

When you get time I'd love to hear how you're getting along with M & H creambacks. I bet it's gonna be real good. Love my Remedy. Randy

I'll be sure to file a report. I think it'll be a good pairing for what we play (rock with a dual humbucker guitar), but time will tell!

It should be fine. It's the same mis-match as the V30/G12H-30 in the Doc's 2x12 and Z Best. There is no mismatch of volume of the Z-best. Both the V30 and the H are 100db. If you put the new creamback H and M in the same cabinet, the H is 3db louder and will be the dominate tone.

Thanks for correcting my mistake.

After spending several days away, I'm back and struggling a bit with this combination. I like the M, for sure, but the H adds something that isn't offensive, just not what I'm looking for in this cab. I've tried closing the back and adding a layer of insulation to see if it has an effect on what I'm hearing. So far, not quite getting me where I want to go. I might try opening the back again.
I still need to drag this out of my office and get it into an open space to really get a feel for the tone. We'll see.

Personally, I don't like the H (either creamback or G12H30) with the Remedy....at all.
It's greenback or creamback M all the way.

It helped when I went back to an open back cab, but I probably should have gone with a pair of M's from the start. Easy enough to fix, fortunately. What's odd is, my Avatar JTM45 wannabe seems to do ok with this speaker pairing, but that amp is a bit rounder on the top than the Rem.

I gave the Rem one last shot with this speaker pairing, and John is right on the money that the Rem and a Creamback H do not play well together. Boomy lows and biting highs when you go to extremes in either direction. Not good. M is the way to go.
Case closed!
