My 6V6 JJs recently died so I replaced the output tubes of matched Tung-Sols. Not 20 minutes within playing, I've noticed that the plates in the 2nd and 3rd tubes were glowing reddish-orange. I have never noticed that in the JJs. Is this OK or not? Thank you.

I don't think that is a good thing. The JJs are the only tube tough enough for the higher voltages in the Remedy.

Do not try anything but JJs in the Remedy; as Bryan said, only those tubes can handle the Rem voltages. I tried Tung-Solos and liked them, but you are taking a risk. My Rem blew up some tubes and a cap and a couple of resistors when I didn't use JJs: Tons of tone!!

^^^^^ Doc says the JJ's are the only ones to use in the Remedy. There was an earlier thread about that but I couldn't find it. Maybe someone else can.
