Currently running a Dr. Z cab with a g12-65. Way too much volume in my living room where I now play 99% of the time. After reading multiple threads the creamback keeps popping up as a speaker that would sound great and reduce volume. Which Celestion speaker is everyone referring to as the creamback , G12M-65 or G12H-75?
I am seriously considering selling the Galaxie and getting either a M12 or Maz8 to continue on lowering my wattage.

I think they sell as a creamback, You also can get break Lite, a lot less energy then buying and selling. If you play in a band it's always nice to have volume if you need it. I've put a Jensen blackbird in my galaxie. Helps it not to be as bright. I've been playing solo gigs with it with a gibson es 135 and it's not to loud. I don't use a break Lite, I do want one.

I'm fairly sure that the sensitivity if the G12-65 is the same as the G12m65. Both are 97 db if I remember correctly. So, you probably won't notice much difference in volume from speaker efficiency. They will sound a little different. As far as the two creambacks. The G12m65 is the one people are talking a lot about. The G12h75 is sill 100db, it will be louder than the G12-65.

About $150 plus shipping last time I checked on it.
