Hi guys!
I would like to know your settings for a real chimey, glassy, british Vox-like setting on your Maz38!
I cranked mine up today after a long, long time and it seems like a real "extreme" setting sounds awesome (at least with a tele...)
Vol 9 o clock Treble 1 o clock Middle 11 o clock Bass 8 o clock (!!) Master Max Cut 3 o clock (!!)
It made me really happy today cause i was thinking maybe selling the amp for a handwired vox! by the way: has anybody compared the Vox HW to a Maz??
Thanks and have a nice weekend, Frankie

I think you are headed in the right direction. I believe the output section took some cues from the AC30, so leaning on it with your settings (Master and cut high) should get you in the ballpark. Glad you found some renewed love for the MAZ! There is a pdf of tone settings floating around the forum for the MAZ18 that translates well to the 38.

I run mine with a strat master 1 oclock or so volume 1/4 up to start, adjust as needed bass 8 oclock or thereabouts depends on the cab, using a THD 2-12 with RedFangs have Z 4-10 that calls for different settings, though not much. middle -noon or os treble...10-11 oclock cut...1 oclock or so these are go to settings for Voxish sounds for me glassy chime , what you hear may be totally different..I have been standing in front of amp stacks on 12 for 50 years....

Frank,
If you want the MAZ 18 tone settings sheet, send me a private message (PM) with your email address. (We used to be able to post attachments, but they ended up consuming too much space.)
