Anyone that has one of these amps know what they are all about. But let's hear your swamp. Here is my JAZ 1-12 EVM-12L on full power, no attenuation and with the trem and verb way higher than I would normally go for. She be loud, just watch the speaker cloth. Be gentle. I honestly haven't even so much as picked up a guitar in 6 months, and am missing my fret hand ring finger. Just shaking the roof at home new years eve.. Let's hear your straight in JAZ swamp!

Just shipped my 2x10 off to its new owner. I'll certainly miss it, but won't miss the weight, especially in the road case. That sounded great!

And the EVM makes it more so. But I'm a bedroom rocker, weight don't matter too me much. U sell it to a forum member? Who the lucky dude? Trem is fun.

Pretty awesome tone dude. Which guitar were you using? I think the key to making the JAZ really sing is using the full power setting and having the Master at least past 2:00. I used to use an EVM-12L in a Seymour Duncan Convertible and they sound great when pushed by an amp that is breaking up. You can hear the distortion from the amp but there is still good definition. Your amp can't weigh any more than a Twin Reverb and I carried one of those around for several years.

Your amp can't weigh any more than a Twin Reverb and I carried one of those around for several years. I used my Les Paul R9 straight in. Factory pups. I agree with your opinion. I like the full power mode more as well. I find two clicks on the brake lite a better option for lower volume than the half power mode if volume is an issue. It sounds "bigger" on full power to me. I look at the bass knob as a gain for the low end of the amp. It's cranked up pretty high in the clip. It seems to overdrive the low end nicely when cranked up but still leaves the higher notes a bit clearer. That's where the 12L comes in handy. It holds together under all that bass and you just hear the amp breaking up. Just by turning the bass knob down to 9:00 or so it sounds more like a bf twin, snappy and punchy, the higher I turn it up the more of a tweed sound comes out. I play around with the settings on this amp quite a bit. There really is a lot of different tones in it. It does seem to come alive with the volume up past 2. I usually find myself with it between 2-3:00. Its a great amp.

Well Done Nick. I really didn't need to hear that since there's a 2x10 on CL up here in the NW. :-)
That's swampy baby.

I spliced a few snippets together. I wasn't feeling great, so it's not very inspired and there are a few clams scattered around.
Amp settings are constant throughout. Nash Tele w / Lollars on bridge pickup; guitar volume and tone both rolled back about 25% as I recall.

Thanks, Nick. Here are the settings. I was on half power. Also, I checked and my guitar V and T were at about 50%, which is why the tone was mostly on the clean side. These settings seem a good match for my Tele, providing a lot of tonal variation using just the guitar's two knobs.

A little rushed (think 'the lively ones')... but you can hear the trem and how it backs down to let your faster notes stand out. Now THAT'S a musical trem! I recorded this with a camera 4 years ago I think. Married to this amp. I love it!
And another one from one of our recordings. I 'm a little lost in the mix, but you can hear the swamp adding character to this song...
cheers! Keep on enjoying this wonderful amp!

Here's another song which was recorded some time ago... It's a greek pop song but using the JAZ, I could plant there some swamp at the bridge and a surf solo !!!
It 's a Vintage '65 Fender Mustang plugged straight to the JAZ! Clean vintage tones!
